Before starting a new roofing project it is important to remember that this can sometimes generate a considerable amount of noise and dust for your neighbors
We take all reasonable measures to minimize the impact of noise and construction debris on the surrounding community. However, it is important to inform your neighbors, asking for their understanding and addressing their concerns before starting work. This is especially true if there may be young children or seniors in close proximity to the work site. We take all necessary safety measures to prevent roofing debris from falling onto your neighbor’s properties. When necessary, we install temporary hoarding or netting along common walls to minimize the impact.
We also drop off leaflets at the homes and business adjacent to your property with information about your new roof or repair – the times, dates, duration and our contact information. Should your neighbors have any questions or concerns about the project’s impact on their property – they can always contact Calgary Roofing Solutions directly without the inconvenience of speaking with you first.
Before commencing, we also prepare a Pre-Roofing Survey so that all pre-existing conditions are recorded. (i.e. prior fence damage, tree and shrub damage etc.). A copy of this report should be provided to your neighbors before installation that can be used as a reference for any future disputes or damage claims by your neighbors.
